Attaches to seat belts, wheelchairs, and/or backpacks and gives vital medical information in case of emergencies.
ID Buddy hooks to a seatbelt and gives vital medical information to first responders if the individual is unable to provide it. ID Buddy is perfect for those with disabilities, those who are non-verbal, children and the elderly.
The idea for ID Buddy began back in 2019 when I started to peer mentor in my high school's Special Education class. There were many instances where the students I was working with would not remember vital medical information and I wanted to find a way to help them. My idea came to fruition when I took ID Buddy and turned it into my Girl Scout Gold Award in spring of 2020. Since then ID Buddy has grown and expanded into the amazing product it is today.
The ID Buddy team is a group of young people who have helped me get this concept up and running. I also got a great deal of help from numerous adults. I would also like to thank the Girl Scouts Organization for approving my project!
